06/07/2008 - New Management Team

Dufftown Football Club is pleased to confirm the return of two old favourites as its management team ahead of the 2008-2009 season.

Willie Duncan and Dod Reid are the men tasked with the challenge of improving the side and hopes are high that the duo, who led Dufftown into it's first ever season in the Juniors back in 2001-2002, can inspire and motivate the players and once again make Westburn Park a place where oppostion teams fear visiting.

Dod Reid is particularly pleased to be returning to Dufftown following his departure in 2003 and said.  "I have had several offers to return to football but none of them felt right.  The main attraction in coming back to Dufftown is the chance to work with Willie Duncan again and I firmly believe that we can help to improve the team.

Our main philosophy is to create a good team spirit combined with a good work ethic and with the introduction of several experienced players that we are looking at we are confident that the good times will return.

We want to make Westburn Park a place to fear for opposition teams again and want to look to progress to the latter stages of the cup competitions and maybe even win a cup.  We hope to have the support of the whole town behind us as we look to push on in the coming season."
