Dufftown slumped to a humiliating 9-3 defeat after an incredible 90 minutes at Lossiemouth.
Co-managers Willie Duncan and Rab Mulheron made three changes to the side that lost to Islavale on Wednesday night. Stuart Glen, Adam Irvine and Donald Poupard coming in for Lee McGregor, Ian Cameron and Kevin Smith.
The match was to get off to the worst possible start for Dufftown as they conceded the opening goal after just 4 minutes. A long ball was played into the Dufftown penalty area and visiting 'keeper Martin Taylor hesitated, allowing Kevin Fairweather to head the ball over him and onto Lee Moir who made no mistake from close range.
Just four minutes later and the home side doubled their lead. The Dufftown defence were appealing for offside when Kevin Fairweather found space, he then fed Brian Whitlock who easily slotted beyond Taylor.
Just two minutes later and the third goal came. Once again Kevin Fairweather was the architect, again he found Brian Whitlock who, again, scored easily from close range.
Dufftown were to create their first chance of the match after 12 minutes. Striker Mark Sanderson picked the ball up some 25 yards out before unleashing a fine shot which home 'keeper Glen Fraser did well to tip over his bar for a corner.
Captain Stuart Lamberton then swung over a fine free-kick to the head of midfielder Gary Spence and he was unlucky to see his header well tipped over the bar by 'keeper Fraser.
A corner-kick for Dufftown after 15 minutes was to lead to their first goal of the game. The ball was swung over into the Lossiemouth penalty area and struck the arm of home midfielder Jonathan Mitchell leaving referee Gavin Dearie with no option but to point to the penalty spot. Up stepped Dufftown striker Stuart Allan, who showed great composure from the spot, sending Lossiemouth 'keeper Fraser the wrong way.
Lossiemouth were to get their fourth goal of the afternoon after just 18 minutes. A long ball over the Dufftown defence found Kevin Fairweather who saw his shot parried by the advancing Dufftown 'keeper Taylor but he was the quickest to react to the rebound, rolling the ball into the empty net.
Dufftown got their second goal of the afternoon after 28 minutes. A long ball into the Lossiemouth half was headed back towards his own goal by defender Chris Ramage but in nipped Dufftown striker Mark Sanderson who slotted the ball through the legs of the advancing 'keeper Fraser and into the net.
Just a minute later and Dufftown almost pulled a further goal back. A long range shot from midfielder Alan Gray found its way to Adam Irvine some 10 yards from the Lossiemouth goal but the midfielder failed to show the necessary composure and lashed his shot over the bar.
Lossiemouth grabbed their 5th goal of the afternoon after 32 minutes. A Kevin Fairweather shot from the edge of the penalty area was parried onto his post by Dufftown 'keeper Martin Taylor and in nipped Brian Whitlock who made no mistake from close range to complete his hat-trick.
Goal number 6 was to arrive for Lossiemouth after 36 minutes. This time Kevin Fairweather tee'd the ball up for Jonathan Mitchell who lashed in a long range effort which beat 'keeper Taylor at his left hand post.
Dufftown scored their third and the final goal of the half just two minutes later. Good play involving Donald Poupard and Gary Ewen saw Ewen swing over an excellent cross which found Mark Sanderson in space in the box and the striker expertly placed the ball beyond home 'keeper Fraser.
Into the second half and the first chance was to fall to Dufftown after 55 minutes. A long throw in found Stuart Allan with his back to goal some 6 yards out but his overhead kick effort was too high and the ball drifted harmlessly over the crossbar.
A bad error from Gary Ewen after 59 minutes set up Lossiemouth striker Brian Whitlock but the man who grabbed a first half hat-trick rounded the advancing Dufftown 'keeper Taylor but then seemed to get his feet in a muddle and saw the ball run out for a goal kick.
Dufftwon almost pulled a goal back after 66 minutes. Striker Stuart Allan had a long range effort which was well parried by home 'keeper Fraser and the ball then broke to Gary Spence who saw his long range effort flash just past 'keeper Fraser's left hand post.
The seventh goal was to come for Lossiemouth after 70 minutes. Left-back John Ross did well down the left hand side before drilling in a low cross which Dufftown captain Stuart Lamberton could do nothing else with but divert beyond his own 'keeper for an unfortunate own goal.
Lamberton then tried to make amends for Dufftown after 74 minutes. His 35 yard effort from a free-kick bringing out a fine diving save from home 'keeper Fraser.
Lossiemouth's eighth goal of the afternoon was to come after 84 minutes. The time Dufftown's Peter Fraser gave the ball away allowing Kevin Fairweather to feed Lee Moir who easily despatched the ball beyond Martin Taylor.
The ninth and final goal of the afternoon was to come after 88 minutes. The time John Ross found substitute Colin Charlesworth and with the Dufftown defence appealing for offside the striker showed great composure to chip the ball over the advancing 'keeper Taylor for the best goal of the afternoon.
Lossiemouth had one last chance in the final minute of the match to grab a tenth goal. Substitute Marco De Barros did well cutting in from the left hand side before a combination of the Dufftown goalkeeper and defenders saw the ball hit the crossbar before being cleared to safety.
